Amy Fost is a 1994 graduate of the Center for Creative Studies - College of Art & Design in Detroit where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree while majoring in illustration. In 1999, she returned to the Creative Studies College of Art & Design, now renamed College of Creative Studies, to teach through their continuing education program.

There she has offered a number of classes including Anatomy for Artists, Drawing Heads & Hands, Quick Studies - Life Drawing Workshops and Introduction to Illustration.

In addition to the Creative Studies College, Amy has also taught classes through the following locations:

  • The Art Center (Mount Clemens)
  • Macomb Community College, Continuing Education (Clinton Township)
  • Main Street Gallery (Richmond)
  • Paint Creek Center for the Arts (Rochester)
  • The Warren Tri-County Fine Art Center

She is now currently offering classes through her home studio in Richmond.

Amy's company, Foster Design, accepts commission work for portraits of people, animals, homes, and cars. She also provides graphic design services which include personalized home note cards, invitations, flyers and logo design to name just a few.
